In Vistaprint we have biweekly sessions where a team presents to whole developers in the company a deep dive into their work. Last week, Gravity Squad, which is a part of our Data Tribe presented how they retired a service and deployed a new version only in one day. The next Turing to solve the enigma! Update Confe The next Turing to solve the enigma! Update Conference, which is one of the biggest .NET conferences in Europe, is currently taking place at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague. The event hosts 47 conferences, workshops, Ask-The-Experts sessions, great food, Czech beer and lots of networking opportunities. Vistaprint is one of the partners of the event. This year, we brought to our booth 6 Hanayama puzzles and obviously it was a lot of fun for the attendees. The most difficult puzzle, called Enigma, had a big prize on it but as of 2nd day no one could solve it yet (without the help of #youtube). Driving Innovation in Established Companies This Driving Innovation in Established Companies This week we hosted a Meet Up for Product Owners. Our Senior PO Nick was leading an open discussion about strategies to identify opportunities, ideate solutions, evangelize plans, and iterate on them with customers. We shared Vistaprint’s innovation successes and failures at an international billion dollar scale through stories of reinventing existing software with other product leaders from different tech companies. Czechitas in Vistaprint Office! Today we organize Czechitas in Vistaprint Office! Today we organized “Adventures on Modern Agile” workshop for Czechitas, an organization that’s trying to bring more women to the world of IT. The event was led by our Agile Coaches in Prague, Tatiana and Lucia. The participants engaged in discussions, games, and activities that will allow them to demonstrate how to apply the Agile values and principles both at work and in their everyday life. Boston, New York, Prague The Pulsar Squad in Prag Boston, New York, Prague The Pulsar Squad in Prague recently started working on personalized recommendations that are displayed on Vistaprint web site. Up until now, this domain was owned by squads in our Waltham (Boston) office. When they started working on the project, they scheduled meetings with the stakeholders and the developers who are familiar with the domain. They wanted to find the best way to have the knowledge transfer and start to build a roadmap. After a couple of brainstorming sessions, it was clear that a visit to Waltham office would be the best step to take. Demo Day in our Waltham office Some of our collea Demo Day in our Waltham office Some of our colleagues in Prague were in our Waltham office this week. They had a chance to attend Demo Day. The purpose of Waltham Demo Day was to give team members visibility into how we are progressing against our goals, celebrating successes and learnings to date. Teams from different value streams shared hands-on presentations and demos throughout the course of the day. The day ended with a Holiday Fair, where developers had a chance to directly interact with our customers, small business owners.

This year's theme was medieval ages and the participants had to finish 8 medieval quests by different IT companies to win the big prize.
